First of all let me say another flawless delivery.I ordered these just two or three days ago and they're here.I checked this company out, its based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and yes, it would seem by all accounts that they really have been making boots for over one hundred years.
This is definitly a boot for activity, as indicated by the height of the sole and the boot's overall height.The lacing system seems very secure, and there is room for loosening or tightening depending on individual size and preference.The 200 Gram Thinsulate lining I was probably the most wary of, but after having worn the boot outside in subfreezing tempretures, I can say that it's probably the right choice, I didn't shovel any snow at sub-zero yet, but I can tell that its going to be much warmer than what I'm used to.
To sum it up, in finding out more about the company, I feel that this boot is definitly a manifest of so many functional ideas engineered into the design, a great choice for anyone who might deal with the white stuff this winter.
