I commute a couple of miles to class, sometimes by bike and sometimes by motorcycle. I started noticing some cracks and scratches on the outside of my Macbook and new I needed a bad that would give my laptop more protection. I decided to go ahead and suck it up and spend the 100 dollars on this bag, hoping it would save my computer in the long run.Oddly enough, the next day I was in a motorcycle accident on the way home from class. I went flying and rolling across the road with my Timbuk2 and laptop on my back, while my motorcycle ended up tangled up with the bottom of a pickup truck. I took out my laptop and to my amazement there was not only no damage to the laptop, but not even a scratch on the outside of the bag as I slid down the road.
When adjusted properly, the bag is incredibly comfortable. The pockets are perfectly placed, and the laptop being in the separate compartment offers extra protection. Probably the first and last expensive bag I'll ever own. Great product
