Three of us had this same footwear on a recent boundary waters canoe area camping trip. This involved getting in and out of canoes in shallow water and carrying the canoes/packs for literally miles on wet, rocky, and muddy terrain. This footwear worked great. Very durable, good wet gripping, and comfortable. The open design tends to get an occasional foreign object stuck between the foot and sole, however the easy off/on design allows it to be quickly eliminated. I have tried various footwear over the course of ten years of camping in the boundary waters and so far, I like this option the best.
