I bought a polarized gray pair of these to use with a new pair of rimless glasses.I use them for driving and dogwalking, mainly, and have been happy with them so far.
Pros:
. Good lenses compared to drugstore clip-ons (flat, for one thing).
. Secure (come with back strap).
. Better coverage of eye than clip-ons, especially at side.
. Useful soft case included.
. Much cheaper than prescription sunglasses, and more convenient to switch back and forth (as I often do when I go between forest and meadow with the dogs).
Cons:
. Bulky.
. My wife and son don't like their appearance.
. Expensive compared to most clip-ons.
Don't waste time choosing a style until you've checked the size restrictions -- different FitOvers frames have different maximum widths and heights.See http://www.fitovers.com for help with this.I was only eligible for two styles of the nine.
I've only had them a few months, so I can't comment on durability. One wouldn't expect them to stand up to much abuse -- they're plastic -- but they seem sturdy enough otherwise.Their size actually works to their advantage here, since you're less likely to mistreat them as you might clip-ons (e.g. by putting them in a pocket or a car bin with other objects that could scratch them).
