I own and use these boots summer and winter in New England. The lining is soft and squishy and very warm. I use them mowing the lawn in summer and raking leaves and shoveling snow at other times. Feet are always dry and toasty. Hit 'em with a hose to clean 'em off. There is a decent amount of tred but not so such that you can't get the mud out. Cute looking solid work boot. I like them so much I'm going to buy a different color to wear other than yard work. While they are a great waterproof boot I wouldn't get them for long walking, they are a bit too squishy for that.
